Soliman Bay es una cala resguardada y protegida por el arrecife justo al norte de Tulum: el tipo de agua que puedes cruzar a nado al amanecer sin una ola que vencer. Las casas son bajas y dispersas, y la bahía se mantiene tranquila aun cuando la costa alrededor se llena.
Es para quienes quieren estar cerca del aeropuerto, los restaurantes y la energía de Tulum sin vivir dentro de ellos.
A bay that stays quiet
Soliman, and the adjoining Tankah bays, sit behind the reef, so the water is calm and clear almost year-round. Development here has stayed low and residential — single homes among the palms rather than towers or clubs.
Tulum close, Tulum's noise far
You're roughly fifteen minutes north of Tulum and its new airport, with Akumal and Playa del Carmen an easy drive the other way. Day to day, though, the bay feels residential and unhurried — the appeal is being near everything without being in it.
What's available
Frontage on the bay is limited and tightly held; most of what trades is homes and lots in the low-density enclaves just behind the water. Parcels here reward patience and a clear sense of what you want to build.
Owning here
Soliman is inside the restricted zone, so foreign owners hold through a fideicomiso, and the federal zone rules apply on the water's edge. Some surrounding land has ejido history, so an independent notario confirming clean title comes first, as always.
